Prof. Dr. Patrick J. Deneen

Dr. Patrick J. Deneen is Professor of Political Science and holds the David A. Potenziani Memorial Chair of Constitutional Studies at the University of Notre Dame. He is the author and editor of several books and numerous articles and reviews and has delivered invited lectures around the world. His widely discussed 2018 book, “Why Liberalism Failed”, has been translated into over twenty languages. His teaching and writing interests focus on the history of political thought, American political thought, liberalism, conservatism, and constitutionalism.
